Eshan's 1st Year In the National Taekwondo Circuit 2019

Ehsan turned 9 and he is eligible to participate in the national circuit. He trained really hard for this,3 times a week with Master Selva and then on his free time I will give him extra training so that he is capable to handle it. He will be fighting in the 9-11 years category in fly weight division. Eshan has to win atleast a bronze medal to qualify for the Grand finals.

Our first circuit was in Kampar Ipoh - 1st leg. Actually I think I was more nervous then him as I was not sure if he was ready for this high level competition.Then his 1st round match came fighting a player from Kedah.This was an electronic system and for some odd reason Eshan was not scoring even thou he did land a proper kick..then in the start of the 2nd round I ask for the judge to check the vest and to our disbelief the opponents vest malfunction and thats why his kick was not scoring.At this time Eshan was down 7-0. We had the vest change and Eshan chased him all over the ring to win it in 9-7....What a relief that was.

In Eshan 1st entry into the National Circuit - He won a Silver medal. The final was very tough for him as the boy was senior,very experience & very good.Overall it was a good exposure for him, this also means he has already qualified for the grand final.

2nd Circuit - We had to go to Melaka for the match, we always try to give the players more exposure so that they are ready.The more they participate in the national level the more experience they get.This was also a tough tournament as in the south we have the Skid Team fighting for Johor State which is a tough team.

This one also Ehsan managed to fight his way to the finals but luck was not on his side this time as well and had to settle with a silver medal.This only will give him more experience and exposure so that he will be ready in the grand final later.

Grand final - It was held in Kelantan and all the medal winners are invited to this to find out who is the best of the best as to say.Eshan was much ready this time, I was also much ready this time as well 😆

Eshan fought a very calm and poise tournament - he hit his peak at the right time and hustled his way to the final.In the final he had to fight the guy he lost to in the first circuit in perak. This is his toughest opponent in this whole weight category I would say.Cleary he was scared since he lost to him before but Ehsan being the cool cat he managed to dig deep to win the match, The highlight of the match is he delivered a jumping backtrust kick (The Trademark Kick Master Selva Is Famous For) to seal the match.The opponent did not expect that and with the point Eshan achieved with that kick he managed to control the game and win it.
